Over 80 Flights Cancelled After US Bomb From World War II Explodes at Japan’s Miyazaki Airport | Video

An unexploded US bomb from World War II exploded at Miyazaki Airport in Japan, causing a large crater in the taxiway and the cancellation of over 80 flights. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as there were no aircraft nearby when the bomb detonated. The airport, originally a Japanese navy base during WWII, has a history of unexploded ordnance being discovered due to its past military use. The Self-Defence Forces and police are investigating the cause of the sudden detonation. Flights were cancelled, and the airport hopes to resume operations soon. Unexploded bombs from WWII are still occasionally found in Japan, highlighting the ongoing impact of the war.
