NHAI to track around 100 toll plazas with GIS-based software

NHAI is planning to expand its monitoring services at toll plazas to track around 100 toll plazas using GIS-based software. These toll plazas have been identified based on congestion feedback received through the national highway helpline. The system will provide congestion alerts, lane distribution recommendations, queue length, waiting time, vehicle speed, weather updates, and information about local festivals. This initiative aims to ensure seamless traffic movement on national highways and will be implemented in a phased manner.
