New-gen Maruti Suzuki Swift CNG launch next week

Dealerships are suggesting that the new-gen Maruti Suzuki Swift CNG could be arriving as early as next week, offering a more sustainable and cost-effective alternative. The new Swift comes with a 1.2-litre three-cylinder Z12E engine, making it the first Maruti model with this powertrain to offer a CNG option. The CNG variant is expected to have a premium of around ₹80,000-90,000 over the petrol versions and may be introduced in higher variants to compete with rivals like the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios and Tata Punch. Maruti Suzuki has a strong hold in the CNG passenger vehicle category and aims to sell 6 lakh CNG vehicles in FY2025.
