Namma Metro: Phase III-A Gets Green Light, Full Details Inside

A new metro line in Bengaluru connecting the tech hub to the airport is awaiting final approval from the Cabinet. The Phase III-A project, valued at Rs 27,000 crore, will cover 37 kilometers from Hebbal to Sarjapur. The Finance Department will review the project’s financial impact before Cabinet approval. The line will have 28 stations, including underground ones, serving key areas like Koramangala and Town Hall. A double-decker road is planned for the Sarjapur-Koramangala stretch, but extra funds will be needed. Concerns have been raised about potential delays due to the road addition. The Phase III project covering Outer Ring Road and Magadi Road has already been approved by the Centre.
