MTC Introduces New Leave Policy For Bus Drivers, App-Only Applications Start November 1

The Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) has introduced a new leave policy for its bus drivers and conductors to tackle absenteeism. Starting November 1, 2024, staff must apply for leave using the MTC’s Staff Mobile App, launched on February 29, 2024. An auto-approval system will be implemented, with up to six percent of the workforce at each depot allowed to take leave at one time. The system operates on a first-come, first-served basis, and requests will be automatically approved for drivers who have worked at least 24 days in the previous month. This initiative aims to improve attendance and ensure smoother operations within the MTC.
