The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara is the company’s first-ever all-electric car that will offer off-road capabilities. It was officially revealed in Milan, Italy and will be manufactured at the Gujarat facility. The e Vitara will feature an electric 4WD system called ‘ALLGRIP-e’ and a Trail Mode for rough terrains. It will come in two battery-pack options for the European market and is expected to have a range of over 400 kms per charge. The e Vitara will have power output ranging from 142 bhp to 181 bhp depending on the battery pack and drive system option selected. Maruti Suzuki plans to launch the e Vitara in India by Spring 2025 and aims to introduce six all-electric models by 2031.
