The Maharashtra government has announced that Ganesha devotees traveling to villages for Ganesh Utsav will be exempted from tolls from September 5 to 19. This decision aims to ease the journey for devotees during the festival. Toll tax will be waived on various highways and toll booths across the state, providing relief to those traveling for the festivities. Additionally, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has emphasized the importance of celebrating an eco-friendly Ganeshotsav and has instructed authorities to repair potholes along the arrival and immersion routes before the festival. Efforts are also being made to ensure a smooth travel experience for those heading to Konkan for the festival.
