Lotus unveils 986 bhp Theory 1 EV concept showcasing futuristic design and tech, gives 402 km range

Lotus has unveiled the Theory 1 EV concept car, which showcases the brand’s new design language and technology. This three-seater car features a powerful 986 bhp electric powertrain, futuristic tech, and a claimed 402 km range on a single charge. While the car will not be available for sale, it will be used for research and development purposes. The Theory 1 is designed with an AWD platform, advanced aerodynamics, and a unique driver system called ‘Lotuswear’ that provides personalized feedback to occupants. Although the car won’t go into production, some of its concepts may be seen in future models like the Type 135 in 2028.
