IndiGo Airlines is set to launch new flights from Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore, and Hyderabad to Pakyong Airport in Sikkim starting in October. This move is expected to greatly boost tourism in the region. The airport director mentioned that IndiGo is currently assessing the commercial viability and data analysis before starting operations. Additionally, Nepal’s Buddha Air is looking to launch daily flights from Kathmandu to Pakyong, pending approval from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.
