Indian auto market sees strong growth in September, two-wheelers lead the charge. Check details

The Indian auto industry had a good month in September 2024, with total domestic sales reaching 24,21,368 units, including 3,15,689 passenger vehicles and 20,25,993 two wheelers. The industry saw a growth of 13.1% in domestic sales compared to the same period last year. Passenger vehicle sales saw a slight decline, while two wheeler sales showed strong growth. Despite challenges like heavy rainfall and the ‘Shradh’ period affecting sales, the industry remains optimistic about healthy demand in the next quarter. Exports of both passenger vehicles and two wheelers saw positive growth as well.
