Gurugram Police Partners With Staqu Technologies to Control Fake Number System

The Gurugram police has collaborated with Staqu Technologies to implement an AI-powered vehicle number plate recognition system in high-traffic areas. This technology will help officials catch fake number plates using CCTV cameras, reducing crime on wheels. The system integrates with existing CCTV cameras to analyze data with RTO records and send real-time alerts to relevant authorities. It can instantly cross-reference number plates with government records to identify stolen or blacklisted vehicles. Within 2 days of deployment, the technology helped identify 1500 vehicles at two police checkpoints. The company’s CEO, Atul Rai, expressed pride in partnering with the Gurugram Police Department to enhance city safety and security. The technology is currently used in 11 states to improve police operational effectiveness and contribute to a safer environment for residents.
