A family in Gujarat recently bid a grand farewell to their beloved Maruti Suzuki WagonR, which had been with them for 18 years and was considered lucky. The family organized a burial ceremony, with over 1,500 people in attendance, and spent over ₹4 lakh creating a shrine for the car. The hatchback was driven into a 15-foot-deep pit and covered with clay and mud. The family plans to plant a tree at the burial ground as a reminder of their lucky car. The Maruti Suzuki WagonR has been a popular model in India, with over 32 lakh units sold since its launch in 1999.
