In one case, a manufacturer was fined Rs 1 lakh for violating safety regulations. The rules for operating electric bikes differ slightly from traditional two-wheelers, with specific conditions for riders aged 16 to 18. Violation of these standards can result in substantial fines. Additionally, a driving training school in the city was fined Rs 42,550 for operating a vehicle with expired permits. The government is taking strict action to ensure the safety and compliance of electric vehicles on the roads.
