Ducati Developed New 890cc V2 Engine, Features Less Weight Compared to Superquadro 955

Ducati has introduced a new V-twin engine for its upcoming middleweight bikes, but the specific models have not been revealed yet. Reports suggest that the new V2 engine may power the next-gen Multistrada V2 and SuperSport S. The latest V2 engine is the lightest V2 unit ever created by Ducati, weighing 54.4 kg and featuring a twin-cylinder design. It replaces the Superquadro 955 motor and comes in two different power states, offering impressive performance. The new engine also ditches the Desmodromic valve timing in favor of spring-operated valves for a more stable and rooted riding experience. Ducati currently offers 18 models in India, including popular ones like the Panigale V4 and Monster, with the Panigale V4 R being one of the more expensive models.
