The Mohalla Bus Scheme in Delhi aims to provide convenient feeder bus services to residents using nine-meter-long electric buses designed for narrow roads. The trial run on the Vasant Vihar circular route has started, with two buses currently in operation. The buses have 23 seats and can accommodate 13 standing passengers. The routes are chosen strategically to provide last-mile connectivity for residents. The AAP government plans to operate 2,180 Mohalla buses by 2025. The fare will be the same as AC buses, with free travel for women using pink passes.
