Delhi brandishes this traffic campaign once again in bid to battle air pollution



It’s that time of year again in Delhi when air pollution levels have worsened to ‘Very Poor’ levels. The AAP government has launched the ‘Red Light On, Gaadi Off’ campaign to reduce tailpipe emissions from vehicles at traffic signals. While vehicles contribute to pollution in Delhi, other factors like stubble burning and geographical location also play a role. Despite efforts like the Odd-Even system and campaigns like ‘Red Light On, Gaadi Off,’ air pollution remains a concern. With the vehicle count in Delhi being lower compared to other cities, reducing pollution from all sources is crucial.
