Citroen recently launched the Basalt SUV in India and it has received an impressive 4-star rating in the crash test conducted by Bharat NCAP. The vehicle scored 26.19 points for adult passengers and 35.90 for child occupant protection. The Basalt showed good protection during impacts and offered decent protection to the neck and chest. The SUV is priced at Rs 7.99 lakh and comes with two powertrain options – a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine. Overall, the Basalt has proven to be a safe and reliable option for Indian consumers.
