Chinese automaker BYD Co. achieved a new milestone by selling over 400,000 vehicles in September, marking a 46% increase from the previous year. This includes both battery electric cars and plug-in hybrid models. BYD’s total vehicle sales for the year so far amount to 2.75 million, putting them on track to reach their annual target of 4 million units. The company’s success is attributed to its dominance in the Chinese market and increasing exports abroad. The recent economic stimulus measures in China are expected to further boost BYD’s sales, making it the best-selling car brand in the country.
