Bus Fares Hiked in Punjab, Check Details



The Punjab transport department has announced a hike in bus fares due to the increase in fuel prices. The fare for ordinary buses has been raised by 23 paise per passenger per kilometre. This decision comes after the state government increased the Value Added Tax on petrol and diesel. The fare for HVAC buses has been increased by 28 paise, integral coach by 41 paise, and super integral coach by 46 paise. The new fares are 145 paise for ordinary buses, 174 paise for HVAC buses, 261 paise for integral coach, and 290 paise for super integral coach per passenger per kilometre.
