BMW has recalled over 1.5 million vehicles globally due to faults in the braking system, affecting top brands like Rolls-Royce and Mini. This has led to a decrease in profitability margin by six to seven percent and impacted new model deliveries. The news caused a 9 percent drop in shares on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. The company attributes the recall to weak consumer sentiment in China. This is not the first recall for BMW, as they previously recalled over 1.4 million models in China due to faulty airbags.
