BMW i7 eDrive50 variant launched in India, priced at ₹2.03 crore

The new BMW i7 eDrive50 doesn’t look different from the outside, but it now has a single motor on the rear wheels instead of dual motors. This means it’s now rear-wheel drive instead of all-wheel drive, hence the change in naming from ‘x’ to ‘e’. The single electric motor produces less power than the previous dual motors, but there is also a more powerful M70 spec variant available. The range has slightly decreased compared to the previous model, but it still offers a luxurious experience with features like leather upholstery, rear seat entertainment, and a Bowers and Wilkins sound system. The i7 can be charged using an 11 kW AC charger or fast charging, and it competes with other luxury electric sedans like the Mercedes-Benz EQS, Audi e-tron GT, and Porsche Taycan.
