The Yellow Line of Namma Metro, spanning 19.15 km and connecting key areas in Bangalore, is set to launch between the second and fourth weeks of January 2025. The delay in the launch has been due to a shortage of trains, with only one prototype currently undergoing trials. Three more trains are being assembled by Titagarh Rail Systems Limited in West Bengal, with the first expected to arrive by early December. The final clearance from the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety is expected by December-end. Initially, trains on the Yellow Line will run every 30 minutes, with frequency increasing as more trains arrive. Additionally, the Nagasandra-Madavara stretch of the Green Line is awaiting final government approvals, expanding the Bengaluru metro network to 76.95 km.
