The Green Line metro stretch between Nagasandra and Madavara in Bengaluru has been completed for almost eight years but is still awaiting final government approval to open. The line, with stations at Manjunath Nagar, Chikkabidarakallu, and Madavara, received statutory clearance on October 4, but remains closed. Once operational, the Green Line will help reduce traffic on Tumakuru Road. The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) is ready to operate trains on this line, but is waiting for the government’s go-ahead. The delay is causing frustration among commuters, as even a single train diversion could impact service frequency on both the Green and Purple Lines.
