Bajaj CNG motorcycle launch delayed to July 17

Bajaj Auto is set to launch a new CNG bike, internally codenamed Bruzer, which will kickstart a new line of CNG motorcycles. The launch date has been postponed to July 17, 2024, with the bike competing in the 100-150 cc commuter segment. The CNG bike is expected to lower running costs by 50% compared to conventional petrol-powered motorcycles in the same segment. It will feature two fuel tanks for petrol and CNG, with a seamless transition in performance between the two fuels. The upcoming offering is said to have a strong ‘pride of ownership’ factor and could potentially find a bigger market globally. Pricing and competition from other players like Hero MotoCorp, TVS, and Honda will play a crucial role in its success. More details will be revealed in the coming weeks.
