Akasa Air Plans To Launch More International Flights, Full Detail Inside

Akasa Air, co-founded by Aditya Ghosh, has achieved profitability with a fleet of 24 planes and over 4,000 employees. The airline is focused on consumer needs, operational reliability, and financial sustainability. Ghosh emphasizes the importance of being consumer-focused in the transportation business, drawing on the learnings from ecommerce companies. Akasa Air plans to expand to more international destinations in South Asia and Southeast Asia while also flying to Tier 2, 3, and 4 cities in India. The airline currently operates narrow-body Boeing 737 MAX planes and has placed a firm order for 226 more. Ghosh believes in a focused business model with consistent performance and is optimistic about the growth of Indian aviation without relying on the failure of others. He is also involved in various investments and roles outside of the airline industry.
