Aircraft Engine’s Part Found Outside Delhi Airport; DGCA Orders Probe

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has ordered a probe into an incident where an aircraft engine part was found outside the Delhi airport. Sources suggest that the metal part may be from an Air India Express aircraft that made an emergency landing at the airport. The airline has stated that it cannot confirm if the metal pieces are from its aircraft at this time. The incident occurred after flight IX 145 encountered an engine issue on September 2 while bound for Bahrain. The matter has been reported to the regulator and is currently under investigation.
