An Air India Express flight to Sharjah experienced a technical issue with its hydraulic system and landing gear shortly after takeoff. The pilots managed the situation well and safely landed the Boeing 737 at Tiruchirappalli Airport, with 141 passengers on board. The Ministry of Civil Aviation confirmed the safe landing and stated that the DGCA was monitoring the situation. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin commended the flight crew for their safe landing and directed officials to ensure passenger safety. An Air India Express spokesperson mentioned that the cause of the snag will be investigated, and arrangements are being made for passengers’ onward journey. The situation was handled well, and all passengers are safe.
