A private bus traveling from Kolhapur to Mumbai collided with a stationary truck on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway near Khopoli, leaving eighteen passengers injured, eight seriously. The accident occurred early in the morning, with the driver apparently losing control of the bus. The injured passengers were taken to a hospital in Raigad district, with eight of them in critical condition. Traffic on the route was affected but quickly cleared by authorities. The Khopoli police are investigating the incident.
