Former Australian PM deletes critical tweets of Trump after winning election: ‘Most destructive president’

Former Australian Prime Minister and current Ambassador to the United States, Kevin Rudd, deleted tweets critical of President-elect Donald Trump after he won the presidential election. He had previously described Trump as “the most destructive president in history.” Rudd’s comments were made when he was Chair of the Asia Society Policy Institute. He removed the tweets out of respect for the office of the President of the United States. Rudd has since congratulated President-elect Trump and expressed his commitment to strengthening the US-Australia alliance. He also mentioned the importance of the AUKUS agreement between the US, Australia, and the UK.
