Maharashtra Elections 2024 Live: PM Modi Accuses Congress of Dividing People On Caste Lines



With less than two weeks left for polling in Maharashtra, the election campaign is heating up as leaders from major alliances are addressing multiple rallies to attract voters. Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused the Congress of creating divisions among castes and emphasized the importance of unity. Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar condemned derogatory remarks against women and called for strict action against offenders. The BJP is part of the Mahayuti alliance, while the Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance includes Shiv Sena, NCP, and Congress. The elections for the 288-member legislative assembly are scheduled for November 20 with vote counting on November 23.
