The family of Tirur deputy tahasildar PB Chalib is concerned after he went missing for more than 24 hours. Chalib had informed his wife that he would be late returning home due to an inspection with police and excise officials near Valancherry. However, he later could not be contacted, and his phone was switched off. The family started searching for him, filed a missing person complaint, and police traced his phone to Kozhikode before it was turned off again. The family suspects foul play, especially since revenue officials revealed that no inspection took place as Chalib had claimed.
