SC rejects transfer of RG Kar doctor rape case outside Bengal

Charges against the prime accused were framed on November 4, with a trial scheduled to begin on November 11. The National Task Force presented a protocol report on health professional safety, which the Court directed to be circulated among all states and union territories. The Court also questioned the West Bengal government on its recruitment and appointment of civic volunteers, seeking comprehensive data on the process.
