The people of Indore, Madhya Pradesh, can finally look forward to Metro connectivity as operations are set to begin in 2025. The Metro will initially operate on a 5.9 km section, linking Gandhi Nagar station with station number three on the super corridor. Each Metro coach can accommodate about 300 passengers, with 50 seated. Efforts are underway to commence commercial operations at the start of the new year, pending approval from the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety. The Metro stations have been designed for six coaches, but will initially use three. The total Metro rail corridor in Indore will span approximately 31.5 km.
