California wildfire fueled by high winds grows to 10,000 acres and forces evacuations

A wildfire in Southern California has caused injuries and destroyed homes, with over 10,000 acres burned. The Mountain Fire in Ventura County prompted evacuations due to high winds fueling the blaze. Firefighters faced a difficult battle as the fire moved quickly between communities. The fire department did not have a count of the structures destroyed, and the cause of the fire is under investigation. High winds prevented aircraft from helping fight the flames, and several people were injured and taken to hospitals. The fire spread quickly, causing road closures and traffic delays. The National Weather Service warned of extreme fire risk due to high winds in the area.
