‘J&K Wouldn’t Have Been In Current Situation Had Vajpayee’s Approach Been Adopted’: Omar Abdullah

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah of Jammu and Kashmir praised former prime minister A B Vajpayee during obituary references in the Legislative Assembly. Abdullah highlighted Vajpayee’s efforts to improve the situation in J-K, including his approach to dialogue and friendship with Pakistan. Abdullah lamented that if Vajpayee’s approach had been continued, Jammu and Kashmir would not be in its current situation. He also paid tribute to other prominent figures, including former president Pranab Mukherjee and former Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee. The House observed a two-minute silence in honor of the departed souls.
