Former SECP chief Farrukh H Sabzwari appointed CEO of PSX



Farrukh H Sabzwari has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) for a three-year term. Sabzwari, a veteran investment banker with over 25 years of experience, will assume his new role on November 18, 2024. He has previously held senior management positions in the investment banking industry in Pakistan and internationally. Sabzwari replaces his predecessor Farrukh H Khan, who resigned in July. During Khan’s tenure, several initiatives were introduced at PSX, including the IPO window and the GEM Board. Sabzwari’s appointment has been approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP).
