Cargo ship launched to space station with supplies, science gear and holiday treats for crew



SpaceX successfully launched an unpiloted Dragon cargo ship carrying supplies and equipment for the International Space Station. The launch took place on Monday evening, with the Falcon 9 rocket carrying the Dragon cargo ship into orbit. The rocket’s first stage landed back at the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, marking another successful recovery for SpaceX. The Dragon cargo ship is carrying various supplies, including a wooden satellite, a solar wind monitor, and holiday fare for the crew. Additionally, the cargo ship will conduct a test to boost the space station’s orbit. The mission includes a variety of experiments and instruments for the astronauts to operate and monitor during its stay at the space station.
