In Kannur, M V Marshook was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of RSS leader Ashwini Kumar. The court also fined Marshook Rs 50,000. Out of the 14 NDF workers involved in the case, 13 were acquitted. Ashwini Kumar was stabbed to death in 2005 while travelling from Kannur to Peravoor. The trial that started six years ago has finally ended with this verdict.
