Jennifer Lopez’s ‘Bob the Builder’ is officially in development at Amazon

Jennifer Lopez’s upcoming animated project, Bob the Builder, will be developed at Amazon MGM Studios with Lopez producing under her production company, Nuyorican Productions. Anthony Ramos will star as the title character in the film, which will be filmed in Puerto Rico to showcase the pliability of Latin American culture. There is no confirmation yet on whether Lopez will do voiceover work for the movie. The story follows Bob as he takes on construction challenges in Puerto Rico and explores the meaning of building. The original Bob the Builder TV series was popular worldwide for its positive messages about teamwork and imagination. This is not Lopez’s first animated project, as she previously worked on Ice Age: Continental Drift.
