Photographing women in public doesn’t constitute voyeurism: Kerala HC | Kerala News

The Kerala High Court ruled that taking photos of a woman in a public or private place where she expects to be seen does not amount to voyeurism. The court clarified that voyeurism charges only apply when a woman is observed in a private act. In a case where a woman was photographed in front of her house, the court stated that as she was in a place where she would reasonably expect to be seen, voyeurism charges could not be pursued. The court allowed the continuation of proceedings under a different section of the Indian Penal Code.
