Bengaluru: South Western Railway Cancels Trains Amid Heavy Rainfall

Heavy rains in Bengaluru have caused waterlogging, leading to the cancellation of multiple trains by South Western Railway, including the Malgudi and Kaveri Express. The decision was made due to waterlogging on the up fast line over Bridge No. 114 between Basin Bridge Junction and Veysarpadi stations. More rain is expected until October 18, with the India Meteorological Department forecasting very heavy rain, thunderstorms, and lightning for various parts of Karnataka. Overcast conditions are likely to continue in the city for the next few days, with Bengaluru receiving 66.1 mm of rainfall in the last 24 hours.
