Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw highlighted the significant progress made in the Indian railway network over the past decade, surpassing the network of France in terms of length. He emphasized the rapid development of the network, with a large portion of new tracks constructed in a short span of time and a high percentage of electrification achieved. Vaishnaw outlined various new developments in the railways, including bullet trains and advanced technologies. He also addressed challenges faced in the development of railway stations in Kerala due to non-cooperation from the state government. The Minister discussed future plans for railway stations and the establishment of the Indian Institute of Creative Technology. The event was attended by various dignitaries, including former Governor Kummanam Rajasekharan and athlete P.T. Usha.
