Nine river bridges have been completed between Vapi and Surat stations on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train corridor in Gujarat. This marks the completion of 12 out of the planned 20 river bridges in the state. The latest bridge on the Kharera River in Navsari district is 120 meters long and consists of three full span girders. The bullet train project is expected to be ready by 2026, with partial services operating between Surat and Bilimora. The high-speed trains will operate at 320 km/hour with 35 trains per day in each direction. The project, which started in 2017, is delayed and may be completed by 2026.
