An investigation has been launched into the distribution of medals with spelling errors by the Chief Minister on Kerala Piravi Day. Deputy Inspector General of Police Satheesh Binoy will look into the mistakes on police medals, including misspellings and errors in the state emblem. The faulty medals were manufactured by Bhagwati Industries in Thiruvananthapuram and replacements have been requested. There are also inquiries into the delay in giving contracts to private companies and how errors appeared in only some of the medals despite all bearing the same text.
