‘Hezbollah operative’ abducted from Lebanon, taken to Israel for questioning



Israeli naval commandos captured a Hezbollah operative in Lebanon and brought him to Israel for questioning, sparking outrage from Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati. The Lebanese army and UN peacekeeping force are investigating the raid. The abducted man was a student at a maritime institute and was training to become a sea captain. The town of Batroun where he was taken from has been relatively peaceful amid the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah. The war has resulted in significant casualties on both sides.
