The Thalassery Additional District Sessions Court convicted MV Marshook in the murder of RSS leader Ashwini Kumar, sentencing to be announced on November 14. The court acquitted 13 other NDF workers accused in the case. Despite the verdict, the prosecution plans to appeal to the Supreme Court for justice. BJP president K Surendran criticized the state government for allegedly colluding with the Popular Front and not handing the case to the NIA. Ashwini Kumar was a prominent RSS leader who was fatally stabbed in 2005, and the trial lasted for six years.
