Amul, a popular dairy brand, is facing a surge in counterfeit ghee being sold in the market. The company issued a warning to consumers through social media, stating that some unethical agents are distributing adulterated ghee in one-litre refill packs, which Amul has not produced in over three years. Amul has switched to a “duplication proof” carton pack to prevent adulteration. Consumers are urged to be aware of fake Amul ghee packaging. The public advisory also included a picture of the fake product. Some consumers expressed concern and gratitude for the information, while others criticized Amul for not withdrawing the remaining fake packages from the market.
