Naan Mudhalvan upskilling initiative starts delivering intended impact, say heads of HEIs

The skill-based courses offered to undergraduate students through the Naan Mudhalvan upskilling platform have been successful in preparing students for employment, according to Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). The training modules provided by the Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation have enabled students to secure jobs in industries, with some even being absorbed for ongoing projects. Various skill-based programs in engineering and software areas have helped students transition into the workforce early. Arts and science colleges have also seen positive impacts, with mandatory training in English communication being highlighted as essential. Faculty members are participating in faculty development programs to enhance their skills. The program has received positive feedback from students and faculty, highlighting the practical value of the training.
