Elon Musk reacts to reports that he could be deported for immigration violation | World News



Elon Musk recently addressed reports claiming he worked illegally in the US in the 1990s, clarifying that he did not break immigration rules when he first came to the country. He also criticized the Democratic party, stating that they would try to destroy him if they win the election. Musk, who is supporting Donald Trump and eyeing a government position in his administration, faced scrutiny over his immigration status in the past. Despite allegations, Musk obtained US work authorization in 1997 and became a citizen in 2002. President Joe Biden referred to Musk as an “illegal worker,” but Musk denied the claims, stating that he was allowed to work in the US on a J-1 visa that transitioned to an H1-B.
