The byelections in Kerala are heating up with controversies and discontent. After a Congress leader’s rebellion and transformation into an LDF candidate, now the BJP is facing allegations of involvement in a cash heist. An expelled BJP worker claimed that unaccounted money meant for election purposes was stolen from a car, implicating party leadership. However, the Kerala Police found little evidence linking the money to the BJP. Opposition leader V.D. Satheesan accused the CPI(M) of colluding with the BJP to protect each other from criminal investigations. The BJP dismissed the allegations as propaganda by opposing parties to harm their chances in the byelections.
